| ELES | Brighton Nail Collection | How To 'Brighten' Up Your Look This Winter |

- The ELES Brighton Collection -

'Be Seaside Chic with the NEW Brighton Collection from ELES!'

ELES Cosmetics recently released a NEW luxurious nail polish collection of twelve vibrant pastel colours
inspired by the bold and brightly coloured seaside huts of the UK's infamous Brighton Beach.

Here are the gorgeous colours of the ELES Brighton Collection below. They feature some
beautiful seaside themed names! I secretly love it when products have sweet names.

Also, a special thank you to ELES for sending such a stunning package. I love my personalised beach
towel and cannot wait to take it on a trip to the beach soon.

Come on summer - we miss you!

Left to Right / Top Row: Deckchair Blue, Lime Sorbet, Royal Pavilion Red, Coral Cafe,
Juicy Fruit, Sunset on the Pier, Teal 'n' Wheel.
Bottom Row: Berry Smoothie, Peppermint Cream, Peach Pebble, Not A Cloud,
Dip in the Sea.

The Brighton Collection, like all ELES nail collections have been designed to provide
a healthy and safe alternative to creating beautiful nails.

The entire ELES range proudly boasts a '5 FREE' Formula:

NO DBP

NO Toluene

NO Formaldehyde

NO Formaldehyde Resin

NO Camphor

The above chemicals are 5 toxic ingredients that are commonly found in nail enamels. Scary indeed!

The ELES nail polishes are a dream to use!

ELES enamel formulas are hand mixed in small batches to help maintain the polish integrity
They are fast-drying, durable, and from my experience resistant to fade and streaking issues

I have found ELES nail polish offers an outstanding polish experience.

Clockwise from top I am wearing ELES Brighton Collection polishes in:

Royal Pavilion Red
Peppermint Cream
Berry Smoothie

Above I am wearing ELES' Sunset on the Pier & deciding between blue hues

As seen from the pictures above, the colour is bold, vibrant, glossy, and wears beautifully
Application-wise, 1 coat is all that is needed from ELES nail polishes. Although, personally
I love to apply 2 quick & light coats as I find it dries and wears longer to boot. The longevity of the ELES Brighton
Collection is impressive and on some occasions I have experienced 4-5 days with NO chipping (without a topcoat).
Even longer with a topcoat - WOW!

ELES products are available online at www.elescosmetics.com.au
AND in selected beauty salons and days spas nationally.
On-counter now. RRP: $15.00 AUD

What do YOU do to brighten up your look in Winter?

| All that Glitters |

Chi Chi 'Glitteratti'
♡ O.P.I 'Rainbow Connection'
♡ Sally Hansen Gem Crush '03 Big Money'
♡ Revlon '430 Whimsical'
♡ Revlon Top Speed '902 Celestial FX'
Flor Mar True Color '003'

♡ Chi Chi 'Glitteratti' is flat-hexagonal multi-coloured glitter polish with a subtle pink gloss.

♡ O.P.I 'Rainbow Connection' multi coloured small glitter and multicoloured hex glitter in a clear base.

♡ Sally Hansen Gem Crush '03 Big Money' is a gorgeous rose-gold hue. Created by combining very fine particles of gold with medium flecks of pink. It totally lives up to its name, too. After three coats my fingertips looked coated in crushed jewels.

♡ Revlon '430 Whimsical' A dupe of the popular Deborah Lippmann shade Glitter in the Air. A pale blue, pink and silver sparkles suspended in sheer baby-blue grey base. Sounds like the fabric of a figure skater's costume, right?. While it does have a certain winter-wonderland feel about it, the mix of very small and medium platinum glitter particles makes it sophisticated—and surprisingly unassuming on the nail.

♡ Revlon Top Speed '902 Celestial FX' a mix of holographic & silver stars, moons, and diamonds in a micro holo glitter base gel.

Flor Mar True Color '003' although it appears the glitter is holo, it is actually a mix of blue and green with some red and yellow tiny square glitters. There isn't a lot of glitter in the clear base, so it is perfect for a more understated glitter nail look.

I have previously featured the Chi Chi 'Glitteratti' nail polish in a St. Valentine's Day nail tutorial that can be seen here.

Do you like wearing glitter nail polish?

What are your ALL TIME favourites?

Have a beautiful week!

| Current Rotation | Nail Polish |

I am one for bright nails, with reds and pinks topping my list. Don't tell me I'm alone when saying that I get an instant pick-me-up when I glimpse brightly painted nails.

Anyone?

Maybe it's a beauty blogger thing. Here are a few current favourites from my nail rotation.

Sinful Colors Professional 'Feeling good'
O.P.I Nail Lacquer 'Rainbow Connection'
Australis Nail Colour 'Valentine'

Sometimes I just find myself staring at O.P.I's 'Rainbow Connection'. The glitters are so mesmerising & beautiful! I was lucky to acquire this treasure in a beauty swap from fellow Adelaide beauty blogger Neena who blogs at Ramblings of a Girl (Thank you so much Neena!)

♥ A MOST HONORABLE MENTION

The ELES Base Enamel has been my 'knight in shining armour' of late! It creates a smooth base for freshly painted nails, helping keep nails immaculate, and increasing the lasting power of my polish to up to 5 days! (this is a record for me). I also use the ELES Base Enamel when I feel my nails are in need of some extra TLC. I paint my nails 1-2 times a week so I like knowing my nails are getting that extra base enamel protection they need to keep healthy and strong!

The ELES Base Enamel Nail Polish was included in the kindly gifted 2012 Adelaide Beauty Conference 'goodie bag'.
A lovely, high-quality product!

What's in your current rotation?

Warming winter wishes,

| Empties of Late #1 |

Hi everyone,

Lately I've discovered that I love love love reading other bloggers 'Empties' posts so I thought why not try my hand at it. Before purchasing new products in my beauty arsenal I usually do a fair bit of research online.

Please tell me that you do the same too!!! (Or I will feel like a creepy internet beauty product stalker)

I've found that reading the opinions of others does give me a good indication of what to expect from a product. But I do suppose this can't be said for all product purchases ;)

I hope my reflections upon these products may enable help you in your next purchasing decision!

  • GARNIER BODY Intensive 7 Days Soothing Lotion 'Anti-dryness Honey' (400ml)
  • NATURAL LOOK 'Movie Tone Hues' Interval Colour Refreshment Silver Screen Ice Blonde Conditioner (375ml)
  • GIRLZ ONLY HAIRCARE Dry Shampoo 'Dawn 'til Dusk' (150ml)
  • GARNIER Deodorant Invisi Mineral 48hr Non-stop (150ml)
  • LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics Tea Tree Water Popular Toner (100g)
  • BUTTER LONDON Powder Room Acetone Free Lacquer Remover (2fl. oz.)
  • RIMMEL LONDON Glam'eyes Day 2 Night Mascara with a 2-IN-1 Magic Cap (9.5ml)
  • MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer with Goji Berry + Haloxyl (0.2fl. oz.)
  • RIMMEL LONDON Lasting Finish Nail Polish 030 Dancin' Queen (8ml)

GARNIER BODY Intensive 7 Days Soothing Lotion 'Anti-dryness Honey' (400ml)

This product smells heavenly and applies to the skin like a dream. I became addicted to this lotion and was sad when our love affair came to an end. I made the decision to purchase the peach variation of this product recently and although nice, it just doesn't compare.

Price: AUD $7.49 (Priceline) I got mine on sale for $3.49 at Big W

Repurchase? YES! Definitely!!!!!

Rating: ★ / 5

NATURAL LOOK 'Movie Tone Hues' Interval Colour Refreshment Silver Screen Ice Blonde Conditioner (375ml)

I found this product did exactly what it stated on the packaging, a refreshing change for once. It counteracted & neutralized any unwanted yellow gold/brassy tones in my colour treated blonde hair. The product also made my hair super soft, and with shine and body. Win!

Price: AUD $11.95 (Hairhouse Warehouse)

Repurchase? Yes! An amazing product that keeps the tone of my blonde tresses in check.

Rating: ★ / 5

GIRLZ ONLY HAIRCARE Dry Shampoo 'Dawn 'til Dusk' (150ml)

For what Dry Shampoo does for your hair, this ticks all the boxes. It comes in numerous scents ranging from fresh and zesty to more floral notes. Recently they have repackaged the product with variations aiming at brunette hair types and people wanting to achieve XXL Volume (that's me!). Great product and with such a low price point I always buy these babies two at a time.

Price: AUD $1.85 (Target)

Repurchase? Yep! In fact I purchased the new repackaged product in XXL Volume last week. Trialing has begun and I think this product may feature in an upcoming favourites post.

Rating: ★ / 5

GARNIER Deodorant Invisi Mineral 48hr Non-stop (150ml)

The packaging claims special anti-perspirant technology that helps reduce white marks on skin & clothing, even black garments. As a girl who probably wears a little too much black I found this product lived up to its statements. It also had a pleasant floral scent which I appreciated. Although, I'm still not sure it would hold up for 48 hours, and I don't want to be the one to test that.

Price: AUD $5.49 (Priceline) In my opinion it's a little bit pricey so I usually wait for a good special

Repurchase? Yes, I would. It did the job & I am always attracted to Garnier packaging. I go weak at the knees for pretty packaging & functionality.

Rating: ★ / 5

LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics Tea Tree Water Popular Toner (100g)

My first purchase of a toner from LUSH and I was quite impressed. I chose the Tea Tree Water Toner as I have troublesome combination/oily skin. I found the Tea Tree extremely soothing yet refreshing for my skin. I used it in my nightly cleansing routine but also as a 'pick me up' spritz throughout the day. I'm not sure if it improved the state of my skin, but I thoroughly enjoyed using this product.

Price: AUD $7.95 (LUSH)

Repurchase? Yes, but.....it's a good product but I am tempted to try other LUSH toners available, including the LUSH Eau Roma Water to nourish the skin.

Rating:  / 5

BUTTER LONDON Powder Room Acetone Free Lacquer Remover (2fl. oz.)

I think maybe I was expecting too much from this nail polish remover because of the brand, Butter London. Don't get me wrong, it did the job and I like that it is Acetone Free, but that's where it ends.

Price: AUD $14.00 (Online purchase - ozsale.com.au)

Repurchase? No. Liked the product, but as I received it as a part of a gift pack I probably wouldn't go out and repurchase this as a stand alone product.

Rating:  / 5

RIMMEL LONDON Glam'eyes Day 2 Night Mascara with a 2-IN-1 Magic Cap (9.5ml)

I remember that I thought this product was the 'bees knees' when I first made purchase! To be honest, I think I may have been caught up in the gimmicky packaging. Overall, it was a good mascara that did a fair job at lengthening and volumising my lashes.

Price: AUD $16.95  (Priceline / Target)

Repurchase? No. It seems like every week there is a new MUST HAVE MAGICAL MASCARA and I hope to try them all. Therefore, I would probably explore other mascara's rather than repurchasing.

Rating: ★ / 5

MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer with Goji Berry + Haloxyl (0.2fl. oz.)

I love this product! The concealer is creamy yet soft under the eye and does not settle into fine lines. Even the much talked about (negative & positive) applicator sponge is actually very effective for 'application on the go'. Although, I am not sure how well this product would work on very dark under eye pigmentation.

Price: AUD $18.95 (Priceline / Target)

Repurchase? Yes! I have repurchased!

Rating: ★ / 5

RIMMEL LONDON Lasting Finish Nail Polish 030 Dancin' Queen (8ml)

A decent nail polish with ease of application, not much more you can ask for. It lasted a maximum of 3 days before chipping occurred, not bad.

Price: AUD $5.95 (Priceline)

Repurchase? No. Although I liked the product / colour I like to try different brands to find the perfect red nail.

Rating: ★ / 5
