| Romantic Spring Wedding Look | Top 3 Tips To Achieve Stay-All-Day Makeup |

When I think of makeup with staying power I look for keywords on packaging like "long-lasting" "matte" "oil-free" "15 hour wear" and so on. If an event is outside it's important to incorporate an SPF into your routine. Be it applied as a pre-makeup moisturiser, or my favourite, in your liquid makeup! Anything to save some time!

This past weekend I attended my cousins wedding. It has been quite some time since I've been to a wedding. After planning an outfit, I was left thinking 'What makeup should I wear?' It was going to be a long day of driving to & from the venue (3-4 hours), the ceremony, and a reception. I knew I needed makeup that would last ALL day long!

The products pictured below are my essentials for a matte, yet luminous makeup look. Perfect for long wear, amped up feminine lashes, and a neutral toned lip.

Are some of your makeup favourites featured?

TOP 3 TIPS TO ACHIEVE STAY-ALL-DAY MAKEUP

#1: PREP YOUR SKIN

Day to day I don't use a primer, this just means my make-up will only stay flawless & fresh for a limited amount of time. BUT if I need stay-all-day makeup - primer is key! A primer basically works like a barrier for your skin, it smoothes your complexion and fills in any visible pores & lines. Primer creates the optimum base for a make-up look! The primer barrier ensures your make-up doesn’t slip & slide throughout the day. Pairing a primer with a long-lasting foundation and you’re guaranteed impeccable coverage that will last.

Try: Benefit's POREfessional Primer teamed with Estee Lauder's Double-Wear Stay in Place Makeup with SPF.

#2: POWDER IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

I have skin that tends to get oily through the day, especially if outdoors. It's frustrating to see time you spent on your makeup look wasted when oil shifts your makeup. Using a lightweight face powder will set your make-up and help to absorb excess oil, leaving you with a shine-free and long-lasting finish.
Try: Maybelline New York SuperStay 24hr Waterproof Powder.

#3: OPT FOR A LIP STAIN

I know many lip products say they are 'stay-all-day products' but in most cases this just isn't possible. Instead, opt for a lip-staining product that will ensure colour throughout your day /night. Lip stains help safeguard lip colour from fading through eating, drinking and avoiding the dreaded lip marks left upon the cheeks of friends & family.
Try: Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. It come in 3 finishes and a HUGE array of colours for every look you need.

How do you ensure your make-up stays put all day?

The wedding ceremony venue was breathtaking. It was held along the riverbank of the beautiful Murray River in South Australia. A stunning cliff backdrop, millions of years in the making. As the sun set the cliffs turned to a bright orange hue. A truly magical day!

| Wishlist Wednesday #4 |

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted a Wishlist Wednesday hasn't it? As Autumn has now left us I hope you are all settling into the cosy hibernation season of Winter. I plan on diving under a blanket and blogging for the next three months if only this were true!

Here are a few of the things that I am currently lusting after. What is on your wishlist at the moment?

Staple ultra-feminine Chloe Eau De Parfum. It was love a first spray with this one. I would love to add this to my perfume collection. The packaging is just so feminine, in all it's pastel prettiness.

A higher-end face cream that is supposed to work miracles for the skin.
LUSH edible Popcorn Lip Scrub! Need I say any more?

I have seen The Balm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter named a MUST HAVE by many-a-beauty-blogger. It is said to rival MAC's Soft & Gentle Highlight Powder. I am loving the finely milled appearance of highlight this gives to the cheeks. I think it wants to be a part of my makeup collection. What are your thoughts on the product? Have you tried it?

Glasshouse candles are pure perfection! Coney Island's Burnt Sugar & Fig really tickles my fancy, especially for the more Wintery months. The jars also double as cute storage for makeup brushes or cotton balls when the candles is no more.

T2 is like heaven for tea lovers and fanciers of all things pretty & delicate.I have the matching set of teacups to the teapot above, they are perfect for a tea-for-two scenario. Although, sometimes I just make a whole teapot for myself!

This teacup is part of the Turkish Delights range, I believe. That blue, just beautiful!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what is on my Wishlist this Wednesday!

 yours truly,

Enabler x
