| Weekend Wanderings | Benefit Brow Bar Opens at MYER Adelaide City | The Body Shop Haul | LUSH Easter Treats | Tasty Eats | NOTD |

Weekend Wanderings around Adelaide City. This past weekend my brother was a guest of Mr W and I. Did I tell you Mr W and I now live together? :D Whilst my brother was staying we decided to make the most of our time with shopping / eating / drinking coffee / repeat.

The NEW MYER Adelaide City Beauty Hall was my first point of call. The Benefit Brow Bar had opened a day previous and I was eager to check it out!
Isn't it just gorgeous?

I took part in the BENEFIT #MascaraSwap. Bring in an old mascara to donate, get a cute sample of the Benefit They're REAL Mascara. I also received a beauty makeover by the lovely Sam and sample size of Benefit's POREfessional Primer as I have wanted to see how it works for my skin.

Have you visited the NEW MYER Beauty Hall?

Recently I have been researching facial cleansing oils and even asked your opinion on Instagram (find me via @profound_feline). I received some fantastic recommendations, such as Dr Lewinn's range & The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Thank you! Therefore, whilst looking in The Body Shop I decided to purchase the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil along with a delicate muslin cloth. After a weeks use, I am impressed. I will provide a full review after a months trial :)
Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil main view
Have you tried Cleansing Oils? If so, do you have a favourite?

Did you know The Body Shop now stock 750ml Shower Gels?! At $19.95 AUD this is a great bargain in comparison to the standard $12.95 AUD for 250ml. I am wanting to buy a BIG bottle of the Satsuma Shower Gel, but they never seem to have it in stock.

Not popular, OR too popular?

In my forever occurring visits to LUSH I spotted the NEW Easter goodies released to tempt my lush fancies. The sweet little 'Easter Bunny Bubble Bars' smelt beautiful. The 'Carrot Soap' was an equally eye-catching idea. I love anything orange

I resisted the temptation to purchase. Instead I slathered my hands in 'Dream Cream Body Lotion' and helped my brother make a purchase. Good sister. He picked up the Limited Edition LUSH 'Freeze Shower Gel'. Freeze is made with peppermint, but you also notice scents of orange, bergamot, & soothing aloe and refreshing sea salt.

My brother and I enjoyed the MOST delicious lunch, brunch & coffee together over the weekend!

Pan seared Atlantic salmon on a bed of snow pea & broccolinni with crispy Asian noodles & miso dressingRoyal Eggs Benedit - Smoked Salmon with Asparagus & Hollandaise Sauce. A Hudson's Marble Mocha, that's white chocolate and coffee. A sweet treat, no need to add sugar! :) They were just as tasty as they look in pictures.

The weather had been gloomy ALL week, the weekend came along and the sun was out! I opted for 'Peppermint Cream' from the NEW ELES Brighton Collection. Love the minty green pop of colour, it makes me happy! A FULL review of the 12 polish ELES Brighton Collection will be LIVE on Profound Feline in coming weeks. It is a beautiful collection.

Easter time is all about hope, love, and happy living. Happy Easter to you and your family! I hope you are having a safe and chocolate bunny filled Easter :)

I would love to hear about your Weekend Wanderings.

| Wishlist Wednesday #5 |

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well! Today's Wishlist Wednesday features a little bit of all my loves. Perfume, The Body Shop, pretty pastel pinks, makeup storage, Urban Decay, Lip Butters, candles, and a very apparent caramel theme!

So here are a few of the things that I am currently lusting after. What is on your wishlist at the moment?

I am a big fan of Vera Wang particularly her 'Princess' perfume scents. Lovestruck is one of Vera Wang's most recent releases, and I adore the scent! Firstly, I love the advertising campaign for 'Lovestruck' featuring Leighton Meister (Blair from 'Gossip Girl'). Secondly, because this perfume is long lasting! You can still smell the sweet floral scent at the end of the working day. I find perfume staying power to be one of the most important things when investing in a perfume. This one does just that, it stays morning till night!

What are your recommendations for long lasting perfumes?

Ted Baker Large Makeup Bag. I love love love the sweet pastel pink, black bow, and rose gold detailing.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Peach. I sampled this in store and fell absolutely in love with the scent! The range is Limited Edition, so get in quick!

Definitely not a need, but a want. I love my Naked & Naked2 Palettes from Urban Decay and I only think it fair to welcome the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette into the family.

The much hyped about Nivea Lip Butters! I can't wait to try this, but can it be as delicious as it looks on the container?
 I hope so :)

I seem to have a caramel theme in today's post, but I guess there is a sweet tooth in all of us. I smelt this candle at a friends house a few months ago and it immediately caught my attention. A super sweet and creamy caramel scent. Perfect to light for cosy winter nights in, wrapped in your favourite blankie. Ahhhh perfection.
Yes. I did say blankie.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what is on my Wishlist this Wednesday!

What's on your list? Let me know in the comments section below. I love hearing from you!

Have a beautiful day!

| Wishlist Wednesday #3 |

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted a Wishlist Wednesday hasn't it? I have a forever growing list of beauty products that I am wanting to procure, I even had a dream about Embryolisse Hydrating Face Cream the other night (much to Mr W's amusement). Without further waffling on here are just a few of the beautiful products I am currently lusting after!

Happy reading!

 yours truly,

Enabler x

Revlon states their Just Bitten Kissable™ Balm Stain "gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour."

After swatching four of my favourite colours; Lovesick / Smitten / Sweetheart / & Honey on my hand in-store I found this claim to be right on! The next day I still had the colour stained on my hand *gasp* Therefore, I am taking this as a sign that I need this product in my life. I'm always a fan of long lasting lips that don't need continual touch ups during the day.

The gel formula comes in a range of vibrant shades that match any look or mood.

I'm particularly drawn to the pink shades in the middle. Loving

Lovesick / Smitten / & Sweetheart

PRICE: AUD$17.95 AUD (Priceline)

Over & over again I hear of this foundation as taking on a HOLY GRAIL status! Thus, Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation has made it onto my Wishlist Wednesday.

  • 15-hour staying power. Flawless all day.
  • long-wearing makeup, looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity.

  • Won't change colour, smudge or come off on clothes.

  • Feels lightweight and comfortable.
Recently a good friend of mine starting using Double Wear and she loves it! I'm sold!

Have you tried Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation?
What did you think?

PRICE: AUD$50 (esteelauder.com.au)

I don't often go a day without wearing pencil eyeliner. In fact, I feel a little naked without it to be honest. I've read great reviews about the Rimmel Scandaleyes range & I am loving the liquid eyeliner I'm currently using from the collection too.

This product is waterproof & is stated to "glide on effortlessly without dragging on the delicate eye area, lasting up to 12 hours wear".

"Long lasting, moisturising formula. Dermatologically and Ophthalmologically tested. Safe for contact lens wearers."

PRICE: AUD$8.50 (Priceline)

This eau de toilette has top notes of Fuji apple, a heart of cherry blossom and a base of

sandalwood, hinoki wood and fruity musk. I am a big fan of musky rich scents with notes

of floral. I've smelled Japanese Cherry Blossom in store & it is heavenly!

  • Delicate floral fragrance
  • Light eau de toilette

PRICE: AUD$31.95 on SALE down to 18.95 (BodyShopAU website)

This is top of my list for the cooler months of the year (which are quickly approaching us here in Australia). This product is great for softening hard skin all over the body, especially cuticles.

LUSH writes, "we made Lemony Flutter to soften your cuticles; it's our thickest cream out there. It's so good at softening your cuticles and nourishing your nails."

PRICE: AUD $15.50 (50g) LUSH online/instore

My MOST lusted after product would have to be BIODERMA Crealine H20 Solution

Micellaire! Much raved about amongst the beauty community, but I do wonder if there is

too much hype for this 'Holy Grail' product? Let me know your thoughts in the comment

section below.

"Bioderma Crealine H₂O is a very gentle fragrance-free micellar solution that cleanses

impurities and removes make-up while respecting the skin’s natural balance."

Features and benefits:

- Soap-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, hypoallergenic

- Face and eyes even waterproof mascara

- One bottle sold every 6 seconds in the world

PRICE: $29.95 (250ml)

What's on your Wishlist Wednesday? Or any day of the week for that matter :)

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream [Review]

Hi everyone,

It's review time! Today it is a product from The Body Shop.

The Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

Let me begin by stating that this is one of my favourite daily moisturisers. It leaves you with fresh, clean feeling skin after use, and wears great under makeup. I have been using it for about 6 months now and I really enjoy having this in my collection.

I bought this product after one of my good friends recommended it to me. I tried it, and now I'm hooked! If you are like me and have combination/oily skin this is the daily moisturiser for you! It truly does keep my skin from becoming shiny throughout the day, especially through the t-zone area.

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream claims to be a:

"non-clogging, oil-free and easily absorbed into the skin. It also states it controls excess sebum and shine whilst bringing moisture to areas most in need, balancing the skin throughout the day. Containing seaweed, and vitamin E, it conditions, nourishes and protects, leaving the skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and supple with a shine-free, matte complexion."

Swatch of the gel-like consistency of the cream

The standout element of this product for me is the seaweed!

  • Wild-harvested Community Trade (from Ireland) seaweed is renowned for its conditioning and hydrating benefits, while its non-oily nature makes it particularly suitable for combination to oily skin.

  • I have to say after 6 months of using this product I have to agree with every notion stated. It does what it says and provides a moisturising but non-oily cream for people with combination to oily skin types. When using the cream I apply to the face and neck after cleansing and toning, and massage into the skin using my fingertips.

    PRO'S:
    • Moisturises dry areas
    • Balances excess sebum
    • Gives a matte, shine-free complexion
    • Works well layered under makeup
    • Smells fresh & clean
    • Product has a light - gel like consistency
    • Sturdy packaging - great for travel.

    CONS:
    • Price! It's a little more expensive than most "drug-store" moisturisers
    • Availability! It's only available through The Body Shop stores & online shop

    RRP:

    AUD $24.95

    SIZE/AMOUNT:

              50mL container

    INGREDIENTS:

Water, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polysorbate 60, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Fragrance, Zinc Gluconate, Hydrolyzed Algin, Zinc Sulphate, Disodium EDTA, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack) Extract, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Sodium Stearate, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Benzyl Alcohol, Algae Extract, Acacia Senegal Gum, Serine, Xanthan Gum, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Tocopherol

    May 2012 Favourites

    Hi everyone,

It's that time again, a new month! Therefore, it's time to ponder over some favourite and most used products for the month of May.

I have quite a few different items from beauty to body products this month. Let me know your recommendations, or your experiences with these products. I would love to hear your opinions.

    MAKEUP PRODUCTS

    (L-R & clockwise)

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Lemon Drop - In my opinion my favourite pastel yellow. As you can see from my nail colours I have been trying to hold onto the summer colour palette. It's now time to transition to winter colours! But nothing really beats brights to lighten my mood :)

Australis Nail Colour in Bombshell. A very opaque blue toned pink. This is a fantastic colour and I enjoy the packaging of Australis nail colours.

Australis Nail Colour in Sweetpea - I adore this colour so much! It's such a fresh colour and looks beautiful against tan skin. I used this colour in a NOTD post a while back- check it out to see what it looks like on :)

Revlon Colourstay Foundation in 150 Chamois/Buff - My Holy Grail foundation. I cannot imagine not having this foundation in my collection. It is a full coverage foundation with a satin/matte finish. It's buildable for those days that you feel more coverage is needed. Although, at the moment I have been sheering the coverage out by mixing it with one pump of Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation.

Dolly Wink Eyelashes- I heard great things about this Asian makeup/accessories company and the great quality of their lashes. I have to say I was not disappointed - they are well made (not flimsy) and the quality is most definitely there.

Urban Decay Naked Palette - Need I say more?! I'm sure you've already read about this beauty product. After many months of lusting over this product I finally purchased it and I'm so impressed by the colour selection and quality. Truly amazing, and I've recommended it to all my friends. I even bought one for my mum, that's how much I love this product.

Urban Decay Primer Potion Original - I received this as a part of the UD Naked Palette and I have been really enjoying this product. As it is a mini I have almost finished it. Although, I've loved the product I don't think I would repurchase as I would much rather invest in another MAC Paint Pot, perhaps Soft Ochre. I think Paint Pots are much longer lasting.

L'Oreal Paris Matte Morphose Foundation - I've nearly finished this foundation and have really enjoyed it. It goes on light-as-air and it's also buildable. It's easy to apply with fingers and dries to a matte finish, like the name suggests. Highly recommend for a 'no trouble to apply foundation'.

MAC Lipstick in Angel - My favourite lipstick when you want a nude/muted pink colour that isn't going to drain the life from your face. It can always be brightened up my applying a gloss topcoat as well.

    (L-R)

MAC Eyeshadow in Star Violet - A stunning 'earth-touched-pinky-brown-plum-fusion'. Great all over lid colour or to warm the crease.

MAC Eyeshadow in Phloof! - I find myself using this eyeshadow almost everyday as either a brow highlight colour or to brighten the inner corner of the eyes. It's described by MAC as a 'frosted-off-white'.

ELF Cool Bronzer - I had never used ELF products until I bought a few items from their website in February. This bronzer is great value at $9.99 and it's divided into a quadrant of 4 matte cool colours.

ELF Blush & Contour -I saw this mentioned numerously in other people's blog posts and decided that I needed to try this little gem. I adore the packaging as it looks kind of 'NARS-esque'. The blush in the compact is a gorgeous pink coral which reminds me of Peachykeen by MAC. A great combo product.

ELF Blusher in Candid Coral - A cute little blusher that gives a peachy glow to cheeks. Slight shimmer.

Rimmel GLAM EYES Mascara -I've really enjoyed this product. It's quite a 'dry' mascara which I prefer as opposed to wet mascara's. If you haven't seen this mascara I recommend you have a look in store. It has two styles of application - one for volume and one for length. Although, I find I only use the volume wand.

Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream -This is a product that I wear most days when I'm not going for a full coverage look. It's light but still offers enough coverage for my face - really love this one.

MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study -I use this Paintpot as an all over lid and highlight base colour. I find it makes any eyeshadow more vibrant and increases the staying power significantly. Love this product!

Lancome Juicy Tubes in Watermelon - A super-glossy lightly sweet-scented lip gloss. I love this alone or paired with any lipcolour. I received this in one of my Lust Have It boxes - a fantastic lip gloss!

MAC Mineralise Skinfinish - Another HOLY GRAIL product of mine. This is a seriously amazing and multipurpose product that I cannot imagine not having. It can be used as a setting powder, blotting powder or as a foundation (if you like a matte finish). If you enjoy the coverage of mineral foundation without the hassle of loose powders, this one is for you!

Sigma Marilyn Retractable Kabuki Brush - I think this retractable brush from Sigma is my favourite brush I own from Sigma. It's SUPER SOFT and the portability factor is a major plus. Great for applying mineral foundation, setting powder or even blush on the go.

     SPECIAL MENTION PRODUCT

Maybelline New York 'Instant Age Rewind' Eraser Dark Circles.

This product is amazing and very unique when compared to any other under-eye concealer on the market at the moment. The product claims to:

"create a radiant, refreshed looking eye area. Super concentrated formula with goji berry + haloxyl helps to erase the appearance of dark circles and fine lines, while visibly diminishing the appearance of puffiness around the eyes."

I will do a review with swatches on the blog soon as I think this product deserves a write up. If you have tried this one, let me know what you think!

    • Cussons Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel
    • Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser
    • Girlz Only Haircare Dry Shampoo
    Back row (L-R)
    • Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
    • LUSH It's Raining Men Shower Gel
    • Nivea 3 in 1 Waterproof Makeup Remover
    • LUSH Tea Tree Water
    • Davroe Hair Wellness Tame Lemongrass Detangler
    • The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream
    • LUSH Northern Lights Soap (Limited Edition Christmas 2011)
    • LUSH Tea Tree Water - This is the first toner-type product I've used from LUSH and I have nothing bad to say at all. I love that it pumps out in a mist so you can spray on as a toner or a refresher throughout the day. Not highly scented and gentle on my sensitive skin.
    •  Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser -This has been my nightly cleanser for about 4-5 months now and as the name says it's Ultra-Calming. I will be sad when I finish this cleanser, will definitely repurchase.
    • The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream - I bought this product after it was recommended to me by a girlfriend. It has a gel like consistency even though it's called a cream. It has a clean scent, and feels light on the skin. I found no problems with my foundation blending on top of this moisturiser.
    •  Nivea 3 in 1 Waterproof Makeup Remover - I have super sensitive eyes. I'm not sure if it's another product I've used in the past that has affected me but my eyes just seem more sensitive these days. Now that I've found that this product works for me I'm sticking with it. It's really gentle and doesn't leave any residue behind after removing eye makeup. I initially tried the more fluid blue NIVEA eye makeup remover but it made my eyes sting badly. So if you are like me, try this one. It's great!

    • Cussons Original Source Mint & Tea Tree Shower Gel - This is the most minty shower gel I've ever experienced. If your not a fan or mint - stay away, but for fans of this you will be in love with this shower gel. You can pick it up in any supermarket or Priceline and it's really affordable. I got this on special for $1.99 but I think it's usually around the $4 mark.
    • LUSH Northern Lights Soap (Limited Edition Christmas 2011) - A great little soap I picked up last year at Christmas time. Nothing amazing to smell. It's a fresh scent, but I just LOVE the colour - it makes me happy. I have it sitting at my handbasin for washing hands etc. If it sits in water for a while it makes this fluro liquid - it makes me think of alien blood or something out of Men In Black!
    • LUSH It's Raining Men Shower Gel - This scent is HEAVEN! If you buy only one thing from LUSH this has to be it. It smells of honey and flowers and is very moisturising to the skin. I found out when purchasing that it's multi-purpose, doubling as a body wash and hair shampoo. So good!

    • Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil - Smells like chocolate / cocoa. Need I say more? This is a beautiful product, especially for dry winter skin. Great applied straight after showering and let sink into the skin - amazing! You skin will thank you for it :)

    • John Freida Highlight Activating Moisturising Shampoo - I'm not really sure if it is Highlight Activating but I find this works well with my blonde hair. I got back to John Frieda Sheer Blonde products quite often.
    • John Freida Highlight Activating Enhancing Conditioner - I find this conditioner is fantastic at nourishing dry/ or chemically treated hair. A very creamy consistency but doesn't weigh my hair down with residue.

    • Girlz Only Haircare Dry Shampoo - I bought the entire range (3 varying scents) of this dry shampoo at the beginning of the year at Target. They were on special for $1 each- so I thought I couldn't go wrong at that price. This 'Party Nights' scent is my favourite, but it may too be highly scented for some so I suggest to try these in store.
    • Davroe Hair Wellness Tame Lemongrass Detangler - I received this in my Lust Have It box earlier in the year and ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product. I have just run out of this mini version and will be purchasing the full size. The lemongrass scent is delicious and I find it super-nourishing for my hair especially when heat styling.
