Hi everyone,
Today's post is a change from the normal. I just wanted to pop in and say hello :) I haven't forgot about you, and yes, I am still here. Due to a recent bereavement I have taken some time to be with my family & heal. I hope you are all well and smiling :)
Expect to see a back log of posts coming up within the next few days, including my 'October Favourites' & 'High Tea, Take Two', a review of my second High Tea experience at the Stamford Grand. If you like, check them out, and as always I would love to hear from you!
A bright starry night sky, great stretching open roads, burnt orange sunsets, bushy Australian Gumtree landscapes, and my family are just a few of my favourite things about spending time at my childhood home in the rural countryside. Here are a few pictures I recently snapped of the countryside I love so much.
Maybe these pictures will inspire you to see the beauty in your surroundings. Have a beautiful week!

Your home is beautiful and I'm glad you got some down time with your family - I hope you are feeling better! It definitely makes me miss home (Sri Lanka) and my family whom I won't get to see this year so treasure the ability to see your family without having to travel so far (:
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your posts!

Hi Natsumi, :)
DeleteThank you so much for your sweet comment, it brought me a smile. Yes, I am starting to feel better:) Feeling very much recharged after my visit with family in the rural countryside. Sometimes I used to think it was a long way for me to travel to see my family. It must be much more challenging to have family living out of Australia. I hope you can have some family time soon Natsumi!
Keep in touch!

Such lovely scenery - must be close to my home, it is very familiar. I am sorry to hear about your loss, and hope that spending time with your family has helped you to feel better :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer,
DeleteGreat to hear from you! I have to agree ;) the scenery of Australian bushland is beautiful it always relaxes me when I get to spend some time there to recharge :D I grew up in the Riverland, is that near you? Thank you for your condolences too, it is always a lesson in life that with love, comes loss. It makes you hug the people in your life that little bit tighter after losing a loved one. Take care!

ReplyDeleteHi Annabelle, :D
DeleteThankyou for your comment :) I can't wait to see the UK landscapes one day. But yes, they are VERY different, but both equally beautiful.

These photos are amazing, I wish there were areas in the UK where is looked as beautiful as this! Hope you have a great time seeing your family again xx
ReplyDeleteHi Lizzie :D
DeleteAwww thanks so much! The scenery is truly breathtaking :) On the day there were beautiful eagles soaring along the cliffs as well, so graceful. I hope you can come & visit Australia one day and see the country for yourself! I'm sure there are stunning landscapes in the UK - I'm longing to visit the UK very soon. The green fields, grazing sheep on the hillsides, ancient castles and coastlines :)
Sending you some love from Australia & make sure to keep in touch!
