I always love to know what beauty products people keep at their bedside.
So I thought, why not share with you my Bedside Beauty favourites that I reach for every night.
All who know me know that I love beauty products, and bedtime is no exception. Especially at night I love to have my favourite
pampering products at arms reach in those few minutes before I snuggle into bed and drift off to sleep.
Almost all my favourite Bedside Beauty products are moisture-enriching, helping to nourish and hydrate my skin overnight. I begin by concentrating on hydrating my face by applying a rollerball of organic cold-pressed rosehip oil around the delicate eye area. The product is both cooling and nourishing, sinking into my skin like a dream. Click here to read a full review of the *RosehipPlus Rosehip Oil Skin Boost Rollerball.
If further hydration is required I use Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant on any dry skin areas (around my nose, forehead, even elbows and dry cuticles). I then go in and apply lashings of my favourite lip treatment, the Nivea Caramel Cream Lip Butter. Not only does it smell like creamy caramel on your lips but you wake with a super soft and luscious pout in the morning.
Moving next to body hydration, I turn to LUSH. Even though I apply body cream daily post-shower I still like extra hydration at night. The *LUSH Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream is a new product to my favourites, yet a quick love affair has developed. Applied to the breast and decolletage, Lovely Jubblies promises to lighten and firm skin. The scent of Tigerlilly and Jasmine is relaxing and delicate enough to apply at bedtime. I absolutely adore this product, and a little goes a long way. After that it is nice to apply a thick blob of hand cream, bringing it all the way up the forearm. Your hands do so much work for you daily, along with winter flu-season hand-washing rituals. Therefore it's nice to re-hydrate your hands at night. I use the *Kosmea Rose Hand Cream. Lastly, scent is known to be very closely connected to relaxation. I am in no way a troubled sleeper but I do sometimes find it challenging to drift off. I have noticed I experience a deeper sleep when aided by relaxing aromas. Be it burning a scented candle, or applying perfume to my pulse point. At the moment I am loving the Victoria's Secret mist in Love Spell. It has a beautiful cherry blossom and peach bouquet that veils the bedroom and even the bed sheets. Sweet dreams everyone.

I'm guilty of not using hand cream, I've yet to find one that smells good but the Kosmea seems like a good one!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that Rosehip Oil Roll-on, it's so easy to use.

Hi Sheri :) A good hand cream can be hard to find, I know. I can't stand it when they leave a greasy residue on your hands. You in-turn leave prints on everything in your path. I hope you can find a hand cream that you love. The Kosmea Rose Hand Cream is lovely.

LOVE your bedside products! They all look so pretty in comparison to mine!
ReplyDeleteMine only consist of DB's paw paw and Sukin's hand cream - both of which are HG products for me but are also very bland in terms of packaging and don't compliment one another very well!

Hi Suki :) Great to hear from you!
DeleteThanks for your sweet comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post. It's one of my favourite posts to read from others so I thought, why not give it a go?! It's all in the quality of a product, not just pretty packaging (although I do enjoy nice packaging) :) I LOVE paw paw ointment, it is such a versatile product. Great pick! I haven't tried Sukin's hand cream, I will def check it out. Thank you!
