| Profound Feline | Liebster Award Nomination |

The always vivacious Susannah from Sparkle2day recently nominated me for the Liebster Award! Of late I have been struggling under a mound of blog posts, but NOW I finally have time to breathe *exhales* I am excited to sit down and finally write this post for you!

If you haven't heard of the Liebster Award, it is a post answering a series of Q & A's nominated by the blogger who has tagged you. The Liebster Award was created to help recognise and discover new bloggers, and as a way to welcome people to the bloggersphere! So sweet!

Cuppa tea at my side, thinking cap on, fluffy slippers in tow, I am all yours.

If you would like to learn a little more about me, then just keep on reading!

  • What's a blog that inspires you?
  • A blog that has recently inspired me (of course there are many) is Alix from I Covet Thee
Alix's blog is such a pleasure to read. An aesthetically beautiful layout and her passion for beauty is enviable. Do yourself a favour and click on the above link for some beautiful beauty blogging inspiration.

  • If money and time were no object, what would you like to do with your blog?
  • I would love to incorporate a vintage theme & shop into my blog. I have an honest & huge appreciation for all things vintage, retro & historical. When I am not looking at beauty products in-store I am often searching through flea-markets, thrift-shops, and vintage fairs for pre-loved items from the past to rescue and take home.

  • What's your favourite TV show or movie?
  • This is a hard question to answer. How can you narrow it down to just one? Okay, I am going to go with movies. I have MANY favourites but I think the best way to decide is to choose a movie you can watch over and over again. Therefore, Love Actually would be my favourite! I can happily watch this movie every year when they show it around Christmas time. That being said, if I am under the weather, nothing fails to make me smile like The Adventures of Milo & Otis. Oh you must!

  • What do you like to do when you're not blogging?
  • I love to spend my time with people who make me the most happy. My family, boyfriend, and good friends. If I can incorporate those people with laughter, fun and nature (being outdoors) that is perfection to me.

  • What's your job or dream job (other than blogging)?
  • I love helping people. If I could incorporate aspects of beauty with helping people, that would be the dream. I have previously worked with the Australian Look Good Feel Better Foundation and would love to again. If you are not familiar with LGFB it is a community service program dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects that can be caused by cancer treatment. An inspiring and worthwhile cause.

  • What's your favourite, holy grail beauty product?
  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. A delicate little skin treat for overnight wonders on my skin.

  • On your own blog, what's your favourite blog post?
  • It would be my 'Home is where the is' blog post. Here is the link:

It was a time loss, reflection, and opening my heart to love.

  • What's your favourite recipe (or food if you're not into cooking)?
  • Lemon Cheesecake. The tangier the better :) My taste buds are tingling just looking a this picture.

  • Do you have any pets?
  • Yes, I have an aquarium of fish and the 'other' love of my life, Angas the budgie! He is such a little character and I taught him to talk! Favourite phrase - "What are you doing?"

  • What are your social media links?

  •  Email: profound_feline@hotmail.com

    Twitter: @profound_feline   /   Profound Feline

     Instagram: @profound_feline   /   Profound Feline

    Pinterest: @profound_feline    /   Profound Feline

I would love to get in contact with you, just add me!

  • What advice do you have for new bloggers?

  • Write from the heart, with passion, be kind, and aspire to be the best you can be.

I hope you have enjoyed reading a little about me. If you would like to be Liebster Award Nominated........

    I TAG YOU!

    | REVIEW | ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder | Mineral Foundation Powder SPF 15 | Brow Blender Pencil |

ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder

The ultimate compact to brighten any skin tone

We all want to look our very best all the time, every time.

Unfortunately, even the best of us have lack lustre days when we are left searching for luminousity to help dull skin. If you are nodding to these notions, ELES has the product FOR YOU!

ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder in Flush of Pink.

This oil-free, hypoallergenic shimmering powder contains jet milled pigments to give skin a velvety smooth texture. An array of shimmering tones meld effortlessly together to brighten and highlight any complexion ensuring radiant skin all day long. The powder helps to protect and condition skin while locking in moisture ensuring skin remains hydrated throughout the day. It also allows your skin to "breathe" freely whilst shielding against age aggressors in our daily environments.

ELES' Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder is enhanced with Vitamins A, C & E for added antioxidant benefits. The skin-safe formula is paraben free and contains no chemical 'nasties' or potential irritants, such as fragrance, talc, oil, and dyes. This ELES product is recommended for all skin types and even post operative skin, so you can feel assured it is ultra-gentle and skin friendly.

The ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder comes in two separate shades:

Flush of Pink & Peaches & Cream.

I received the ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder in Flush of Pink. This product has quickly become a staple in my daily face routine. Using it as a final step to highlight the high-points of my face, it helps add radiance and a subtle flush of pink to my complexion. I feel the multi-faceted shading of this product brightens up my skin tone instantly, giving my skin a velvety, smooth, and healthy appearance.

The ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder is very reminiscent of the much loved Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick creations. I would loved to see ELES release even more gorgeous shades to choose from!
To apply, ELES recommends using a powder or blush brush, stroke or swirl brush across the compact, picking up all shades. I find precise application a breeze using the Sigma Tapered Blending E40 Brush pictured below. With this brush I am able to choose specific colours to apply to a chosen area. Be it all over the face, cheeks, bridge of the nose, or the decollete. The ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder is perfect for all.

Perfect application can be achieved with the Sigma Tapered Blending E40 Brush.

ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder RRP: $101.50

    ELES MINERAL FOUNDATION POWDER SPF15

ELES Mineral  Foundation Powder in 01Nude

The ELES Mineral Foundation Powder is a hypoallergenic pressed powder foundation that works as a translucent powder or a build-able coverage foundation. Natural, light reflective properties found in the ELES Mineral Foundation Powder create a soft, diffused finish, camouflaging imperfections such as redness & scarring. The powder easily adjusts from sheer to rich, more opaque coverage & is available across 10 shades.

ELES' Mineral Foundation Powder is highly compatible with common skin concerns and sensitivities.  Again, this ELES product contains NO chemical 'nasties'. Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide provides the wearer with a chemical-free sunscreen of SPF 15. This naturally shields the skin against damaging ultra-violet light, while Vitamins A, E and C condition the skin.

The ELES Mineral Foundation Powder comes in a convenient and ultra sleek silver compact with built in mirror & application sponge. It has everything you need for on-the-go-application and is a delicate light-weight powder, almost giving that "naked" feeling to your face makeup.

Sleek & stylish mirrored silver packaging

I use this powder as a translucent setting powder over my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Applied with the sponge applicator or a face brush it is perfect to set makeup and prevents me from the 'afternoon oily t-zone blues'.

At the moment I am using my elf Powder Brush for simple 'all-over' powder application.

ELES Mineral Foundation Powder SPF 15 RRP: $64.25

ELES Brow Blender Pencil in 01 Blonde

    Get WOW brows in seconds!
The ELES Brow Blender pencil is my holy-grail eyebrow product!

I have blonde brows and it proves impossible finding pencils light enough due to my light tresses. Hallelujah! The ELES Brow Blender pencil offers a practical, precise, powdery brow definer delivering perfect results for me in seconds.

The all-in-one ELES Brow Blender pencil creates soft, matte, natural looking colour. The cap has a built-in brush for blending and shaping your brow. This Mineral-oil free product can be used dry for a soft matte look or wet for more intense brows. It is a long wearing formula, meaning it won't smudge or fade.Although the colour range is small, the build-ability of the product allows it to suit all shades of brow, from light blonde to dark brunette beauties.

In application, I have found a light feathery technique works best for light application. Then, a quick brush through with the eyebrow spooley at the end of the pencil and you are ready to go!

ELES Brow Blender Pencil RRP: $42.00

I can honestly say that I love all of the ELES products I have reviewed. The products have effortlessly incorporated into my daily makeup routine. In the picture below, I am wearing ALL 3 ELES products out to lunch on my birthday for a radiant daytime look.

The verdict! I have to give ALL 3 ELES products a strong 5-star rating! The products are flawless in creation, application, and the results are just divine.

    Rating: / 5

    | Food Adventures | Five Little Figs |

Today, join me on a food adventure!

Recently a friend and myself ventured off into Adelaide's suburbia in search of a tasty lunch. Coming highly recommended by a fellow foodie friend we arrived at Five Little Figs, located on a quiet residential street in Payneham South. Five Little Figs offers a unique & stylish, yet homely cafe experience. The food is seasonal, fresh, & bursting with flavour!

Let's get to ordering, shall we?

After excited banter as to what to order from the lunch menu we were informed there is now ALL DAY BREAKFAST! That was all I needed to hear. We both decided upon 'I Just Want Eggs and Bacon and Stuff' (scrambled).

Like most of my cafe experiences I have to try out the standard latte on offer. They sure do make a fantastically robust yet smooth coffee. Only minus being it was lukewarm! Although, this I can forgive :) I enjoyed my latte whilst we awaited the food, glorious food!

The clouds parted and the sun shone when our brunch arrived at our courtyard table. We were in ore and oh so hungry when we saw the plates placed before us!

On the day the chef mentioned they had run out of the 'standard' home made baked beans - instead we got a warm mexican bean mix that was DELICIOUS!

Honestly, the tastiest eggs I have ever eaten.

Five Little Figs is owned by Adelaide chef Michelle Campbell. You may know Michelle from her previous Adelaide restaurants, namely the Brown Dog Cafe in Goodwood, or The Table, at Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.

    Important cabinet decisions.....

After MUCH deliberation we chose to share two cakes. The "Raw Karma" Snickers Cake which was vegan & dairy free (our chocolately-fix) and also the Pear & Walnut Tart.

The layers in Snicker's Cake were mesmerising.

Served on sweet and dainty little plates.

    The Pear & Walnut Tart.

Crunchy, crumbly, delicious, and not too sweet! Make sure to save room for a big slice of tasty cake, for one or to share!

We loved the outdoor courtyard (we didn't even know there was one until it was kindly mentioned to us). Perfect on a sunny spring day!

    Mirrors & decorations.

Thanks to Nicole for snapping this pre-food, post-latte picture. No wonder I look so happy!

A visit to Five Little Figs is a must! Take a friend or grab some lunch in your lunch break. It is a beautiful establishment that's obviously a labour of love for the owners. I can't wait to return and try more menu items.
