| Food Adventures | Five Little Figs |

Today, join me on a food adventure!

Recently a friend and myself ventured off into Adelaide's suburbia in search of a tasty lunch. Coming highly recommended by a fellow foodie friend we arrived at Five Little Figs, located on a quiet residential street in Payneham South. Five Little Figs offers a unique & stylish, yet homely cafe experience. The food is seasonal, fresh, & bursting with flavour!

Let's get to ordering, shall we?

After excited banter as to what to order from the lunch menu we were informed there is now ALL DAY BREAKFAST! That was all I needed to hear. We both decided upon 'I Just Want Eggs and Bacon and Stuff' (scrambled).

Like most of my cafe experiences I have to try out the standard latte on offer. They sure do make a fantastically robust yet smooth coffee. Only minus being it was lukewarm! Although, this I can forgive :) I enjoyed my latte whilst we awaited the food, glorious food!

The clouds parted and the sun shone when our brunch arrived at our courtyard table. We were in ore and oh so hungry when we saw the plates placed before us!

On the day the chef mentioned they had run out of the 'standard' home made baked beans - instead we got a warm mexican bean mix that was DELICIOUS!

Honestly, the tastiest eggs I have ever eaten.

Five Little Figs is owned by Adelaide chef Michelle Campbell. You may know Michelle from her previous Adelaide restaurants, namely the Brown Dog Cafe in Goodwood, or The Table, at Stirling in the Adelaide Hills.

Important cabinet decisions.....

After MUCH deliberation we chose to share two cakes. The "Raw Karma" Snickers Cake which was vegan & dairy free (our chocolately-fix) and also the Pear & Walnut Tart.

The layers in Snicker's Cake were mesmerising.

Served on sweet and dainty little plates.

The Pear & Walnut Tart.

Crunchy, crumbly, delicious, and not too sweet! Make sure to save room for a big slice of tasty cake, for one or to share!

We loved the outdoor courtyard (we didn't even know there was one until it was kindly mentioned to us). Perfect on a sunny spring day!

Mirrors & decorations.

Thanks to Nicole for snapping this pre-food, post-latte picture. No wonder I look so happy!
