Beautiful cupcakes were in abundance. Well done Benefit, you know the way to a girls heart :)

I enjoyed a fun pink cupcake filled evening chatting all things beauty with the girls from Benefit.
Below, a picture of some of the Adelaide beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blogger ladies in attendance. All smiles :)

I have heard much about Benefit Brow bars from friends and interstate beauty bloggers and was interested to learn more. The hallmark of the evening was an insightful brow makeover by brow artist Jess. Jess gave us the best tips to achieve the perfect brow.

In the photos below you will see the process of a Benefit brow makeover, taking you from now to WOW! :)

STEP 1: First step is to measure where the eyebrow starts, deciding where the arch should be, and deciding where the eyebrow ends. These measurements are key to shaping the perfect brows for you individually.

STEP 2: Tinting the brows. After deciding which colour most compliments your complexion & hair colouring, a tint is mixed and applied. Tints usually last 2-3 weeks.

STEP 3: Once the brows have been tinted they are then waxed and tweezed to your desired shape. The 3 step process is quick (approx 20 minutes) & could easily be completed during your lunch break. Benefit makes brows easy!

Below - Jess can be seen applying the brow tint to Rachel's brows. The achieved brow look was beautiful on Rachel. A small amount of Benefit brow powder was used to subtly extend the tail of the brow. It's amazing how a manicured brow can contribute to a more polished appearance.

| ELES Mineral Makeup | Sixties Vibe | Makeup Look | Featuring International Blog Guest Sophie! |

ELES released the 'Sixties Vibe' collection late last year as a part of their Spring Look.

'This look is all about vibrant youthful eyes, with soft velvety shades of Aubergine and Purple. A strong eye look teamed with a flawless complexion and nude lip creates a modern take on a Bridgette Bardot style of beauty.'

I was kindly gifted these beautiful products from ELES along with a dreamy head garland and glam shades to help channel the inner Bridgette Bardot.

Today, I am bringing you a makeup look that is perfect for both the autumn and winter seasons. The 'Sixties Vibe' look is one that is versatile and very complementing to most skin & hair tones. I was sent 4 products in the 'Sixties Vibe' collection; Debutante Quad Shadow, Plum Crazy Dimensional Cake Liner, Coral Sun Mineral Blush, Nude Micro Bubble Lipstick.

The ethereal model featured for this 'Sixties Vibe' Makeup Look is Sophie. Backstory. Sophie is from The Netherlands. Sophie and I have been pen friends and 'real life' friends for more than 8 years now. Mr W and I were lucky enough to have Sophie stay with us in May whilst she travelled Australia.

Sophie is a self-admitted novice when it comes to makeup and its application. Therefore, we played around with some useful techniques and go-to looks that she can re-create on her side of the world :) I found the ELES 'Sixties Vibe' Look suited Sophie's colour palette perfectly. The purple and aubergine tones made her warm brown eyes pop. The nude lipstick was a favourite of Sophie's as she likes to keep her makeup simple and wants her lips to appear more full.

If you want to see how we created the 'Sixties Vibe' look then keep reading.

FACE: I began by priming the face and creating a flawless base for the makeup look. Although it's recommended to apply eye makeup before foundation (to avoid fallout) I did start with the base and took extra care when applying multiple shadows. If all else fails, a quick tidy up with some concealer under the eyes will fix it. Gentle contouring with a matte bronzer helped bring shape to the face. I used the ELES Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder applied to cheekbones to create a highlight and finished the face by setting with the ELES Mineral Powder Foundation, both products previously reviewed on Profound Feline can be seen HERE.

EYES: Using the ELES Debutante Shadow Quad Palette.

Step 1. Begin by applying the second darkest shade (pale purple shimmer) along the eye lid, pat the colour gently and then blend edges to soften.

Step 2.  Apply the darkest shade (deep aubergine matte) in the outer corner of the eye blending up into a V-shape and into the crease line. Build the colour slowly, concentrating colour on the outer of the eye. Blend the edges well to soften and "smoke out" the look.

Step 3. Apply the second lightest shade (grey taupe shimmer) beneath the lower lashes. I applied to the outer 2/3 of the bottom lash line to create a more "open-eyed" appearance.

Step 4.  Apply the lightest shade (subtle light pink shimmer) on the inner corner of the eye near the tear duct and beneath the lower lashes (about 1/3 of the way in) furthermore opening up the eye area - a great tip for people with smaller looking eyes. Sweep a small amount under the brows to highlight and add extra dimension.

For Sophie's brows I used 'Omega' eye shadow from MAC with an angled eye brush. I find it is great for blondes and light brunettes as it is ash toned and very build-able. ELES also have numerous shades of brow pencils and powders available HEREI have previously reviewed the Brow Blender on Profound Feline. The full review of the ELES Brow Blender Pencil can be seen HERE.

EYES: ELES Dimensional Cake Liner in Plum Crazy

Step 1. Using a wet liner brush pick up some colour from the left side of the duo (deep burgundy matte) and press into the upper lash line tapering out to create a soft wing in the outer corner of the eye.

Step 2. Using the same brush (no need to re-wet as it is applied dry) take the shimmery deep purple shade on the right of the duo and press into the line for added sparkle.

I completed the eye look with 2 luscious coats of BENEFIT's They're Real Mascara to the top lashes focusing on lifting the outer lashes to add more to the 'cat-eyed' look. I kept the lower lashes bare to again help open up the eye area and create a more wearable daytime look.

CHEEKS: ELES Mineral Blush in Coral Sun

Using a blush brush apply Coral Sun Mineral Blush to the apples of the cheeks, creating a beautiful natural glow to the skin. I find it helps to add blush as almost a final step in a makeup look. This way you can adjust the depth of colour you want according to your eye makeup / lipstick colours.

LIPS: ELES Micro Bubble Lipstick in Nude

Apply Nude Micro Bubble Lipstick to the lips for a soft and full pout. I applied one coat, blotted with tissue, and applied another coat, achieving a matte finish.

Sophie working the accessories! I am in love with the rose head garland :)

Another ELES feature. On Sophie's nails she is wearing 'Peppermint Cream' from the newly launched ELES Brighton Collection.

Peace, love & serenity.

We hope you enjoyed this look:)

Liefde "love" and kisses from Sophie and I to you!

| Weekend Wanderings | Benefit Brow Bar Opens at MYER Adelaide City | The Body Shop Haul | LUSH Easter Treats | Tasty Eats | NOTD |

Weekend Wanderings around Adelaide City. This past weekend my brother was a guest of Mr W and I. Did I tell you Mr W and I now live together? :D Whilst my brother was staying we decided to make the most of our time with shopping / eating / drinking coffee / repeat.

The NEW MYER Adelaide City Beauty Hall was my first point of call. The Benefit Brow Bar had opened a day previous and I was eager to check it out!
Isn't it just gorgeous?

I took part in the BENEFIT #MascaraSwap. Bring in an old mascara to donate, get a cute sample of the Benefit They're REAL Mascara. I also received a beauty makeover by the lovely Sam and sample size of Benefit's POREfessional Primer as I have wanted to see how it works for my skin.

Have you visited the NEW MYER Beauty Hall?

Recently I have been researching facial cleansing oils and even asked your opinion on Instagram (find me via @profound_feline). I received some fantastic recommendations, such as Dr Lewinn's range & The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Thank you! Therefore, whilst looking in The Body Shop I decided to purchase the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil along with a delicate muslin cloth. After a weeks use, I am impressed. I will provide a full review after a months trial :)
Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil main view
Have you tried Cleansing Oils? If so, do you have a favourite?

Did you know The Body Shop now stock 750ml Shower Gels?! At $19.95 AUD this is a great bargain in comparison to the standard $12.95 AUD for 250ml. I am wanting to buy a BIG bottle of the Satsuma Shower Gel, but they never seem to have it in stock.

Not popular, OR too popular?

In my forever occurring visits to LUSH I spotted the NEW Easter goodies released to tempt my lush fancies. The sweet little 'Easter Bunny Bubble Bars' smelt beautiful. The 'Carrot Soap' was an equally eye-catching idea. I love anything orange

I resisted the temptation to purchase. Instead I slathered my hands in 'Dream Cream Body Lotion' and helped my brother make a purchase. Good sister. He picked up the Limited Edition LUSH 'Freeze Shower Gel'. Freeze is made with peppermint, but you also notice scents of orange, bergamot, & soothing aloe and refreshing sea salt.

My brother and I enjoyed the MOST delicious lunch, brunch & coffee together over the weekend!

Pan seared Atlantic salmon on a bed of snow pea & broccolinni with crispy Asian noodles & miso dressingRoyal Eggs Benedit - Smoked Salmon with Asparagus & Hollandaise Sauce. A Hudson's Marble Mocha, that's white chocolate and coffee. A sweet treat, no need to add sugar! :) They were just as tasty as they look in pictures.

The weather had been gloomy ALL week, the weekend came along and the sun was out! I opted for 'Peppermint Cream' from the NEW ELES Brighton Collection. Love the minty green pop of colour, it makes me happy! A FULL review of the 12 polish ELES Brighton Collection will be LIVE on Profound Feline in coming weeks. It is a beautiful collection.

Easter time is all about hope, love, and happy living. Happy Easter to you and your family! I hope you are having a safe and chocolate bunny filled Easter :)

I would love to hear about your Weekend Wanderings.

| Kosmea 'Rose Hand Cream' | Media Launch Event |

Last Wednesday evening I was invited, along with fellow Adelaide beauty / lifestyle / fashion bloggers and media, to the launch of the NEW Kosmea Rose Hand Cream. The beautiful event was held at Kosmea HQ right here in Adelaide, South Australia. On the night I was interested to learn that Kosmea are stocked in over 1,700 stores throughout Australia and in 7 countries! What a fantastic accomplishment. I love supporting local SA products in all forms!

The evening was hosted by Olivia Jenkins, author of the 'Clear Skin Project' and daughter of Marie Jenkins, Kosmea Company Founder and Business Manager at Kosmea Australia. It was an inspiration and pleasure to hear from Olivia about Kosmea, their products releases for 2014, & idea behind launching the NEW Kosmea Rose Hand Cream.
"The Kosmea Rose Hand Cream has been formulate to protect and nourish, leaving hands soft and youthful"  -Kosmea Australia
Upon entering Kosmea HQ I was immediately veiled with the scent of roses & immersed in a sea of pink hues. The room was filled with excitedly chatting bloggers, and this was just a taste of what was to come of a beautiful evening.

To celebrate the launch of the Kosmea Rose Hand Cream, we were treated to champagne and delicious treats. As soon as I lay eyes upon the delicate pink cupcakes I knew one (or two) had to be mine :)

A photo of some of the beautiful ABBM 'Adelaide Beauty Blogger Meet' ladies enjoying the Kosmea Rose Hand Cream Media Launch. It was such a fun evening of chatting and catching up with these lovely ladies again :)

How about just one more rose cupcake?

Kosmea kindly sent us happily home with a 'goodie bag' containing their Facial Cleansing Wipes, the Rose Hand Cream, and an exquisite flavoured tea from Pukka (I am sipping it as I write this post).

NOW if you are new to Kosmea products of just want to be well informed. Here are the main reasons that I love Kosmea and their product range:

NO mineral oils
NO artificial colours
NO petrochemicals
NO artificial fragrances
NO sodium lauryl sulphate
NO animal ingredients
NOT tested on animals
Recyclable packaging

Even though we were able to trial the Rose Hand Cream at the event, it has been a pleasure to trial it at home - with daily applications. The skin enriching oils of rose hip, jojoba, and olive oil help to hydrate and replenish my skin, whilst the aloe vera, vitamin E & white tea extract protect against the signs of ageing (i hope)!

So, after a weeks use, what are my initial thoughts of Kosmea's Rose Hand Cream?
  • Delicate fresh rose aroma is calming and relaxing (I apply just before bed time)
  • It is a very nourishing cream
  • Sinks in to the skin almost immediately - no sticky / greasy residue
  • Gives a silky feel to hands after application and lasts for some time
  • I feel good using the product as it has NO artificial perfumes. The rose scent is the REAL THING - Damascus Rose Flower Water with Rosewood Oil.
  • Convenient size that easily fits into my handbag or on my bedside table.

The Kosmea Rose Hand Cream retails for $19.95 50ml and is available at David Jones, Terry White Chemists, and selected pharmacies and health food stores.

To keep up to date with ALL things Kosmea you can find the Offical Kosmea Australia website HERE
You can even buy direct online :) Very handy!

You can also follow Kosmea via their social media accounts:
Instagram - @KosmeaAustralia
Twitter - @Kosmea Australia
Facebook - /KosmeaAustralia

What hand cream are you currently using to keep your hands hydrated?
